"Where the world announces new sites." Matilda is a worldwide search directory with a wide range of categories. Buyer's Index is a word-searchable directory with information on thousands of North American mail order catalogs and Web shopping sites, including wholesale and retail suppliers. Search over 11,000 Web shopping sites and North American mail order catalogs with over 93 million product offerings for individuals and businesses. DEWA Network was founded in Manhattan, New York in 1995 and was incorporated in 1996. Dewa means God in Japanese. Gee-Wiz!
Gee-Wiz! Is an Internet directory that is organized by subject categories. All submissions are reviewed by a moderator before addition. Select from 20 main categories and go to the subcategory you want. Click on "Submit a Site" at the bottom of the page. Brings up a form that is a bit long but easy to fill out. Description field requires more than 25 words but less than 50. Upon review, get confirmation of your addition via E-mail. Password required.

Identify
Identify uses a new HTML extension called IDML that makes is easy for folks to find your site. Somewhat similar to Meta tags, IDML is a tool that allows you to describe who you are (ID-PUBLISHER), what your web site is about (ID-INFO) and what products you have for sale (ID-PRODUCT). They have an IDML code generator at the site that builds code for you that you can copy and paste into your page.

Information Marketplace
The Information Marketplace is a one-stop-shopping site for products and services. They feature what they call the SuperStore Search Engine, which makes it easy to focus in and find a particular product or service - maybe yours. Manufacturers Information Net
Manufacturers Information Net is one of the most complete databases of manufacturers and related services on the Internet. Missinglink
Missing Link (Link Leads) functions as a "dating service" for web sites. It provides the meeting place for sites which, by their related subject content, would be served by exchanging reciprocal links. Their "fee" is that you must first display a link to Missing Link itself on your site before you can submit to the directory.

NTT Directory
Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Corporation of Japan puts up this site. It's not too impressive looking at this time and it contains some poor English translations. For instance, under Shopping there is a sub-category called "Contract Information of technical tie-up". However, they translate submissions into Japanese and list on their Japanese language side -- a big plus that earned them a TOP 100 2-Star rating. Follow the URL to the submission page. Simple, uncomplicated site, that's a relatively new directory. Select categories and subs, and submit from there. They don't list a lot of sites, but could be used. Unlock is a well-designed site with an interesting concept. It's kind of a cross between a directory and USENET. Entries don't have to have links or even be about anything except the author's opinion. Unlock has an object-oriented database categorizing objects (CDs) rather than concepts (Entertainment) to allow for more focused search results. Webquests
Voted by Internet users as a Starting Point Hot site, Webquests is an easy to use directory with 15 main categories and dozens of subs. Users have an opportunity to comment on and rate sites. WebVenture's HotList
Cool looking site, but we don't know how much exposure it will generate for your web site. They are dedicated to commercial sites only. Weekly Bookmark
The Weekly Bookmark offers reviews of new and cool web sites in over 15 categories.
